NEW
FREE PLASTIC HOT AIR ASSEMBLY
DESIGN
GUIDE AVAILABLE
FROM
PHASA DEVELOPMENTS
A free 16-page design guide highlighting the
capabilities and benefits of plastic hot air staking is now
available on request from Harlow-based PHASA Developments.
Written in an easy-to-understand style, the new full-colour
booklet is aimed at design engineers looking to maximise the
cost-effectiveness of this versatile fastening method. It explains
the principles and characteristics of plastic hot air staking in
detail, as well as the system’s ability to achieve permanent,
low-cost, vibration-resistant fixings in thermoplastic components or
assemblies.
The A5 booklet covers everything from simple riveted joints to
design parameters for processing ribs or even large diameter annular
rings. Recommendations reflecting the latest advances in the
fastening process are also backed by more than 40 colour
illustrations - ensuring that the publication becomes an invaluable
source of reference within the manufacturing sector.
"We are continually extending the technology’s
boundaries," says PHASA’s Business Manager, Tony Woods.
"So, this all-new design guide will not only help to update
existing users, but also bring plastic hot air staking to the
attention of engineers who may not currently be aware of all its
advantages."
