PHASA's History

1985 - PHASA formed to develop ‘Hot Air Staking’ for PHASA’s parent company.

1988 - PHASA Heat Staking Machines and Tooling supplied for electrical, communication and white goods industries after exhibiting at INTERPLAS UK.

Moved to own premises Haverhill, Suffolk.

1990 - Built larger, higher specification Heat staking machines for plastic enclosures for Sun Microsystems, Electrolux Cleaners, Apple Computers and Panasonic.

1991 - First large PHASA Hot Air Staking Assembly machine for Automotive Industry - Landrover, Ford, Rover and Volvo commercial vehicles. Consolidation of the PHASA business directed towards the Automotive Industry.

1996 - Moved to New premises at Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire UK located close to Stansted Airport.

1997 - Introduced a standard PHASA product range philosophy with rapid business expansion.  Increasing export market, PHASA staking machines sold to Germany for assembly of Mercedes Plastic inner door trim.

1998 - Supply of 'High Volume' rotary staking machine for Ford Focus door assembly in Spain, in-line Assembly machines to Mexico and Germany.

1999 - Automotive Interior sector expansion, supplying door assembly equipment for Jaguar X-Type cars and major U.S.A. contract of sixteen PHASA machines and tooling.

2001 - Moved to purpose built premises in Harlow, Essex UK.

2002 - Developed, Patented and sold the first "PHASA Point" a new concept "one piece single staking system".

Introduction of 3D Computer Aided Design.

2004 - Development and sale of new model PHASA staking machine 2.5mt. Wide for processing Plastic bumpers.

2005 - New heatstaking machine sales and service Agent appointed Beijing China. Belgium, Sweden and South Africa

Move company to new premises located Newmarket near Cambridge UK.

2008 – Introduce the new energy saving PHASA Air Supply System (PASS).

New Phasa Quality Management System (PQM) for process control and recording.

Large contract for Audi A6 in China for assembly of rear LED lights.

 2009 – Regularize the component build items of PLC, Pneumatics, Heating and Safety throughout the PHASA machine product range.

2010 – Introduction of new PHASA 20/80 assembly machine to product range for longer narrow Automotive interior plastic  trim parts.

2011 – Mecasonic becomes Agent for France for PHASA Heatstaking equipment.

2012 – Expansion of manufacturing capability and Launch of new PHASA web site.
