- Experienced
in mechanical Disciplines
knowledge of pneumatics is advantageous.
ELECTRICAL WIREMAN –
Ability to follow electrical
Circuits
incorporating solid state and PLC systems wiring machines
to varying International standards.
SERVICE ENGINEER –
Experienced in Commissioning and
training customers on Special Purpose machines. Siemens PL
C programming experience an advantage.

Workshop Engineer
Reporting to:
Workshop Supervisor
Direct reports:
None
Main purpose:
The manufacture, assembly and fitting of machined components
for the building of special purpose machinery and tooling.
Main responsibilities:
To work as part of a team manufacturing assembly machines
with the ability to use mills, lathes and other general workshop
machinery. To produce jigs and fixtures of close tolerance along with
final setting, commissioning and assembly of special purpose machines is
essential; as is the ability to measure accurately and read mechanical
drawings. An understanding and knowledge of electrical and pneumatic
systems with MIG and / or TIG welding is desirable.
General
responsibilities:
Able to operate all machinery unsupervised in a safe manner
to oneself and those around having a working understanding of related good
H & S workshop practices. Liaise with other departments and
demonstrate equipment and show courtesy to customers visiting the
workshop.
Any other duties which
may reasonably be required by the post holders Line Manager or Director.

Main purpose: To Carry out day to day functions of Electrical Wiring and
Machine Assembly for the building of special purpose machinery and
Tooling. To meet the production deadlines as instructed by the Operations
Manager and to ensure safe working within the workshop area.
Main responsibilities:
To work as part of a manufacturing team for the workshop
assembly of machines with the ability to wire components and machines to
drawings provided for control boxes, machine looms, pneumatic systems and
various types of sensors, vision systems and PLC’s. To produce jigs and
fixtures, commissioning and assembly of special purpose machines along
with the ability to measure accurately and read mechanical drawings,
assist other workshop staff in the understanding and training of the same.
A basic working knowledge and understanding of pneumatic systems is
required. Not to suffer colour blindness and recognise colours from a full
colour spectrum.
General
responsibilities:
Maintain a continual safe use of all workshop machinery
according to good H & S practices and instruct and monitor the use of
machine guards, safety equipment, clothing and a tidy workplace area.
Liaise with other departments to resolve minor day to day issues for the
efficient manufacture of machine build and commissioning, for workflow as
detailed by the Operations Manager to meet production targets. Show
courtesy to customers visiting the workshop. Assist to maintain a secure
Stores area and the control of issued parts to the workshop area, ensure
goods inwards and items despatched have controlled documentation signed
for as detailed in the company procedure.
